Spring is in the air! Sunday March 29 was the last day for snack bar operations and ski rentals. Spring skiing will continue with timely trail grooming when possible. Ski with caution. As usual at this time of year, expect variable conditions that can quickly change from skiing on icy/fast to soft/slow trails depending on the weather and time of day. We hope you enjoy the last few days (maybe weeks) of spring skiing. If possible, ski the Purple or Red trails where the water flow in High Lake Creek continues to grow. At the bridge on the Purple trail, the creek has changed from being completely ice covered to a continuous free-flowing open channel. Just one way to observe the changing seasons.
Wildlife report A large wolf was recently seen on the pipeline right-of-way near the 2nd pipeline crossing on the Green trail. Not to be outdone, a chipmunk was spotted on the Gold trail on April 1, a few hundred metres from the end. It appeared and disappeared into a small hole right in the middle of the skate lane.
