The North Bay Nordic Ski Club is excited to announce a new program commencing this coming season! The new “Adventurers” program hopes to encourage youth aged 10 to 18 to enjoy nordic skiing at a recreational level.
The goal of the program is to help participants develop fitness and skiing skills, with an emphasis on fun and adventure! This is a non-racing program designed to encourage youth to participate in nordic skiing as a lifelong pastime while enjoying the outdoors and learning new skills. Activities will include traditional and new ski environments (including backcountry skiing and ski orienteering), scavenger hunts, nature activities (including tree and track identification), fun relays, distance challenges, ice fishing on High Lake, and fire building (with snacks like hot dogs and s'mores), just to name a few.
Time/Location: Sundays from 10:30am -12:30pm at the North Bay Nordic Ski Club
Dates: Sunday, January 4, 2026 to Sunday March 8, 2026
Cost: $200.00 for 10 weeks of the program. This includes a hot pink toque for all participants!

Level of Ability: it is recommended that participants have basic classic and skate skiing skills equivalent to the Level 3 Jackrabbit program.
