Posted March 20, 2026 and updated April 14, 2026 The North Bay Sports Hall of Fame will be recognizing two North Bay Nordic skiers at their Annual Induction and Awards Dinner on May 2, 2026.
Grayson Franks was a recent member of the North Bay Nordic Junior Racing Team and has now switched to cycling, racing internationally with Team Canada in mountain bike and cyclocross races. Grayson has won this year’s Britt Jessup Memorial Award for Male Athlete of the Year.
Dave Nighbor, a long-time Junior Racer at North Bay Nordic and a member of the Canadian National Team from 2001 to 2009, is one of five Inductees to the North Bay Sports Hall of Fame. Dave has retired from active racing but is still part of the North Bay Nordic scene, as his web site company (9 Lives Design) designed this website for North Bay Nordic.
