Big weekend at North Bay Nordic! Thanks to those who donation to the snowmaking campaign so far! And thanks to a huge effort by volunteers, we have our own snowmaking gun on site and it's up and running! We were able to run it over the weekend to test out the water and electrical supply. Thanks to Cooper Equipment for providing generator at best possible rate! With some fine tuning it will be a great asset to the club in the future!!! The machine made snow was spread out in the field and the last uphill. Building a nice base! Grooming started on the trails on Sunday morning, thin snow cover but already starting to look decent, considering how little snow we have! Should be ready for "early season" skiing after a bit more snow! Stay tuned, we're getting close!! PS - Still time to donate to the snowmaking campaign! The gun has arrived but any contribution helps to pay for it and with operating costs!
